PRE-SCHOOL:
Blind and partially sighted learners are admitted to this group.

PHYSICAL DEVELOPMENT
Gross motor development usually delayed. Climbing, crawling, riding bicycles and obstacle courses facilitate this development. The development of fine motor skills is addressed.

EMOTIONAL AND SOCIAL DEVELOPMENT
This is learnt through play in a loving, structured environment.

PERCEPTUAL SKILLS:
Touching, hearing, smelling, tasting and the application of residual vision are used to develop concepts.
Braille: Pre-reading and writing skills are developed.
Partially sighted learners receive visual stimulation as well as pre-reading and writing skills.
