Blind and partially sighted learners are admitted to this group.
PHYSICAL DEVELOPMENT
- Gross motor development usually delayed.
- Climbing, crawling, riding bicycles and obstacle courses facilitate this development.
- The development of fine motor skills is addressed.
EMOTIONAL & SOCIAL DEVELOPMENT
This is learnt through play in a loving, structured environment.
PERCEPTUAL SKILLS
- Touching, hearing, smelling, tasting and the application of residual vision are used to develop concepts.
- Braille: Pre-reading and writing skills are developed.
- Partially sighted learners receive visual stimulation as well as pre-reading and writing skills.

EMOSIONELE & SOSIALE ONTWIKKELING
Dit word aangeleer deur middel van spel in ‘n geborge, veilige omgewing.
PERSEPTUELE VAARDIGHEDE

- Eye report;
- birth certificate;
- any other relevant reports, e.g. from occupational therapist, physiotherapist, school etc.
Criteria for admission:
- toilet-trained
- independent mobility
- ability to benefit from school environment
- application forms will be available after approval of admission
MULTIPLE DISABLED / DEAFBLIND
Multiple disabled and deafblind learners can be referred directly to the school via the psychologist.
